Well I made the decision to replace the original tranny with a Toyota 5-speed using the HVDA conversion kit. ACS will do the work. Parts will go on order this week. I know that the second gear syncro is hanging up once in a while on a down-shift but the car is really limited with the triumph 4-speed when it comes to highway driving. Around here the only real highway that the GT6 ever sees is route 3 going south to Cape Cod. It's about 35 miles on this road (turns into route 6 once you cross the Sagamore bridge) and the flow of traffic routinely hits 70 to 80 MPH. I just hate hearing the GT6 revving so high when making this run. I'll keep the original tranny with the car if the next owner wants to reinstall it.

I've looked into this conversion with other triumph owners and every one said the same thing - YOU WILL BE HAPPY.
